What are Beechams Flu Plus Hot Lemon sachets? Beechams Flu Plus sachets provide rapid relief from cold and flu symptoms. They contain: Paracetamol - to reduce fever and aches and pains. Phenylephrine - a decongestant that releases blockages in the nose caused by infection. Vitamin C - reduces the length of time you are suffering with symptoms, protecting against immune system deficiencies. Who should NOT take Beechams Flu Plus Hot Lemon sachets? Do not take Beechams Flu Plus Hot Lemon sachets if you are under the age of 16 or suffer from any of the following: Kidney or liver problems Over active thyroid High blood pressure Diabetes Glaucoma Heart disease Do not take Beechams Flu Plus Hot Lemon sachets if you are currently taking any other medication to treat the flu, paracetamol or any of the following: Tricylcic antidepressants Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) prescribed for depression Beta-blockers Do not take Beechams Flu Plus Hot Lemon sachets if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless advised to do so by a doctor. Directions for use. Beechams Flu Plus Hot Lemon sachets must be taken orally. Empty the contents of the sachet into a mug and half fill it with warm water, this is then ready to drink. Repeat every 4-6 hours if needed. Do not take more than 4 doses in a 24 hour period, do not use for more than week unless advised to do so by a doctor. Side effects. Like all medication some people may experience side effects when taking Beechams Flu Plus Hot Lemon sachets. These can include: An allargic reaction including a skin rash and itching.
